I haven’t posted about my pregnancy very much. Aside from my big announcement, I haven’t really devoted any blog-space to it at all. It’s time to fess up the big truth: I’m not having just one baby, I’m having three.
In a completely unexpected freak of nature we are one of the lucky couples who will be having THREE kiddos at once. TRIPLETS! This has meant some big decisions to work though. Like, how will we afford them?!? And their stuff?! And will on earth I ever fit into a regular pair of jeans again!?
Since those questions have remained up in the air for such a long time I haven’t known what to post about, but now we’re finally making some decisions so I can open up a little more. Our plan is summed up simply: No More Free-Loaders.
We’re going to have some hefty bills to pay, and that means the dogs are going to have to pay for themselves. I’ve mentioned jokingly in the past that Heidi has taken on some work, but she’s really going to have to step it up this time. She’s always had a good ear (it’s one of those super-senses canines are so lucky to have) so she’s gotten work as a DJ.
Just because she’s old doesn’t mean Melanie will get a pass. She’s coming out of retirement to become an official pillow tester. She’s playing on her strengths – being lazy and sleeping a lot – so I’m confident she’ll be successful at it.
And even though Moe has never been the brightest bulb in the box, he’s taking on work too. Say hello to the newest greeter at your local Walmart.
Hopefully the dogs will start raking in the income. In the meantime, we’re stocking up on three times the stuff to prepare for the impending invasion of baby tornadoes.
Update: APRIL FOOLS! I’m only having one baby over here, and thank goodness because it’s hard enough preparing for only one. Doesn’t seem like I fooled too many of you, but had to clarify for those that fell for the joke
