^^ I still want to write “2012″ up there… but on to this week’s news:

  • This probably deserves it’s own post, but I just can’t make myself write it up because I’m so sick and tired of all the depressing Nemo news. Nemo is sick again. He has a really bad staph infection. It’s all over his belly. We didn’t catch it for a few weeks so it was able to get way out of control. :( He’s on super strong antibiotics and we’re hoping that will do the trick. He’s been on them for about a week though and there’s no noticeable improvement, so it’s possible we might have to try another antibiotic after this round to see if that works instead. Luckily ::knock on wood:: no other dogs or people have caught it in the meantime, but we’re washing dog beds and blankets and everything else in the house like crazy.
  • Project 365 photos are going up on my Facebook page as promised. Days 1 – 6 are up there so far, which means I’m only 5 days behind on the picture taking, editing, and uploading. Oops. I promise this doesn’t mean I’ve fallen off the P365 wagon, it just means that I procrastinate. ;) I’ve also decided to give myself a little slack and share 7 pictures from each week instead of one photo from each day. It’s more fun to shoot when you see a good opportunity, so I’m going with that. :) As promised a From Where I Stand photo has already made it into the mix. I also want to get some self-portraits in there too, so I need to work on that.

  • This has nothing to do with me, but Peace, Love, & Fostering has been doing some great posts on Photography this week. If you’re just getting started, it’s worth the click to go over there and read them (start here with this post on the basics).
  • I discovered a new app that I’ve been playing with this week: iBooth. Nothing super fancy, just a way to take little fun pics.

  • There’s already been amazing progress on my “get organized” resolution. The garage – aka “where things go to die” – was cleaned out! I’ll spare you before and after pics (imagine the before as a giant wall of cardboard boxes making it impossible to see inside), but I will leave you with this information: we took 1,600 pounds of junk to the dump. 1,600!! Yes, the garage was jam packed full of crap… but no longer!

In case you missed it, here’s what I posted about this week:
